KT 13.033 French ochre

A venerable member of the classic color palette.

Referenz - Puisaye ochre

Farbfunktion - dynamic

Wirksamkeit - good under all lighting conditions

The earliest use of ochre in human housing has been dated to 500,000 years ago. The desire to make architecture more beautiful with color is indeed archaic! This is one of the darkest shades that can be made with a natural ochre. Although their warm appearance caused them to be associated with the sun in nearly every culture, this particular shade is dark and weighty. Its primary association is not with the sun but with yellow sandstone. Should French ochre be too heavy to use in a space, then the three lighter hues of this beautiful color can be consulted.

Customer feedback

"Their colors are just unbelievably beautiful, whether the sun is shining, or it's rainy weather, or night, with every play of light they look different again. Incredible."
