KT 26.073 Pale natural Sienna

A creamy, warm white that graced many of the Modern Movement buildings.

Referenz - Le Corbusier, paint sample Villa La Roche, 1926

Farbfunktion - atmospheric

Wirksamkeit - good under all lighting conditions

According to our laboratory analyses, this white was chosen by Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret for use in the Villa La Roche in Paris. A glue paint made with the subtly colored, white limestone from the cliffs of the Champagne region was the carefully selected backdrop against which the proprietor of the building, Raoul La Roche, presented his collection of art. Then, as today, this natural white is so soft, harmonizing, and unobtrusive that its brilliance will never compete with or diminish the impact of the art.

"Their colors are just unbelievably beautiful, whether the sun is shining, or it's rainy weather, or night, with every play of light they look different again. Incredible."
