Alabaster is a type of gypsum deposited naturally all over the world. Depending on the source, it can be translucent to transparent with colorations that range from light ochre to gray. Alabaster white is characterized by a subdued, warm, translucent effect. Rays of light penetrate the outermost pigment layer, where they are warmed and reflected back into the room. This shimmering quality demonstrates that color is more than just hue, and a room painted with Alabaster white will exhibit a characteristic glow. It is an elegant, accommodating white.

"Their colors are just unbelievably beautiful, whether the sun is shining, or it's rainy weather, or night, with every play of light they look different again. Incredible."
