Who hasn’t seen the postcards of bright, white bungalows on Greek islands such as Santorini? A closer look, however, reveals that the appealing whites once made with local limestone were displaced by glaring, industrial titanium whites. While these new bungalows appear to stand in isolation, the older ones made with natural whites reflected the land and the sea around them. Ice white rejuvenates this tradition to participate in a lively exchange with its surroundings. Intense, bluish reflections mirror the light and establish a connection to local color effects and to nature.
