Color design blog: research and inspiration
Red blossoms arise from green buds, any stone contains myriad speckles of colored minerals, and white, glacial ice reveals a multitude of sparkling colors on closer inspection. The colors of nature are multi-colored mosaics. This allows them to pick up light from any color in their surroundings, creating a lively dialogue. Colors made from synthetic pigments as well as screen, NCS and rainbow colors lack this ability to harmonize with their surroundings. We have been researching these differences for years and will post news, new research and topics of interest to other colorists here.
