The size of a space sets limits to the appropriate color palette. Small spaces will seem cluttered and nervous if they are filled with high-intensity colors and too many color contrasts. This balanced color, far from being a baby-blue pastel shade, has enough of the charismatic effect of deeper ultramarine blues to be considered for use as a deep blue for small spaces. It complements terracotta tiles in bathrooms with no daylight beautifully, and may well be the perfect color for a small, white bedroom.
