KT 18.025 Lightning bug yellow

The delightful color of fireflies on a midsummer’s night.

Referenz - Replaces KT 32.066 Primrose yellow (Paul Baumann, Neue Farbtonkarte System Prase No. 522, 1912)

Farbfunktion - dynamic

Wirksamkeit - best under strong lighting

Lightning bugs emit yellowish light signals during their mating season. The enzyme luciferase (meaning “light bringing”) is responsible for this bioluminescence. Knowing this, it would seem plausible to assume that Lightning bug yellow could bring light to dark architectural spaces. Unfortunately, the ability to create light is restricted to the bioluminescent insects. Yellow walls can reflect ambient light but they cannot increase it. With direct, warm lighting of any kind, this paint color will reflect the warmth to create a delightful glow.

"Their colors are just unbelievably beautiful, whether the sun is shining, or it's rainy weather, or night, with every play of light they look different again. Incredible."
