Seductive and stealthy, like a cat in the night.

Referenz - Le Corbusier, Salubra wallpaper, 1959

Farbfunktion - differentiation

Wirksamkeit - good under all lighting conditions

Ludwig Wittgenstein, in an effort to contrast the absoluteness of black with dark nuances that defy description such as this one, wrote that the difference between black and a dark, grayed brown is similar to “the difference between the sound of a bass drum and the sound of a kettle-drum.” This color is in fact a very deep brown that camouflages and conceals. Completely at rest in the shadows, it testifies to the hidden strength of modesty. It can be used to make an object less visible; as a background color, it allows elements in front of it to glow in full color.

"Their colors are just unbelievably beautiful, whether the sun is shining, or it's rainy weather, or night, with every play of light they look different again. Incredible."
