KT 32.131 Light burnt umber

Soft and compliant, as pleasing as sandstone in natural light.

Referenz - Le Corbusier, Salubra wallpaper, 1931

Farbfunktion - differentiation

Wirksamkeit - good under all lighting conditions

Architects such as Walter Gropius, Frank Lloyd Wright and Le Corbusier had this handsome color on their palettes. The umbers fulfilled the avant-garde’s requirement of being beyond decoration; they were deemed honest, tasteful and true. Yet this medium umber is more than a reminder of the past – its moderation in terms of hue and lightness allows it to be used to deepen space without making it too dark. By muting hard contrasts, Light burnt umber also offers a simple and pragmatic solution to a common design problem.

Customer feedback

"Their colors are just unbelievably beautiful, whether the sun is shining, or it's rainy weather, or night, with every play of light they look different again. Incredible."
