KT 43.6 Olive green

A capricious green that shifts from blue in the morning to gold at night.

Referenz - Le Corbusier, Salubra wallpaper, 1959

Farbfunktion - dynamic

Wirksamkeit - good under all lighting conditions

The origins of this interesting color can be traced back to a method traditionally employed by artists to mix sensuous olive colors by blending brownish ochre and cobalt green. Since a color will achieve a harmonious effect if it contains elements of all three primary colors, these ochre and green blends inevitably fulfill such a condition of harmony. Olive green’s reaction to changes in the daylight is unique – it shifts from a straw-colored, luminous yellow with a green hue to a strongly yellow, equally pleasing green.

"Their colors are just unbelievably beautiful, whether the sun is shining, or it's rainy weather, or night, with every play of light they look different again. Incredible."
